Cookie Policy
Effective date: 2026-05-06 · Version: 2026-05-06
1. What are cookies?
Cookies and similar technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage) are small data files that a website stores in your browser. We use them to keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and operate certain features.
2. Categories
Essential
Strictly necessary to provide the service. These cannot be disabled. They do not track you across sites.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Cookie | Authentication session | 1 hour, refreshed |
| duo:room_session | localStorage | Restore your room after a reload | 2 hours |
| 2chat:cookies | localStorage | Remember your cookie banner choice | 12 months |
Functional
Help us remember preferences (e.g. your light/dark theme and your in-app settings). These are first-party local-storage keys with no cross-site tracking. They are written only if you choose “Accept all”in the cookie banner. If you choose “Essential only” they are not stored (and any existing ones are removed); you can also clear them at any time through your browser’s settings.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| duomegle-theme | localStorage | Light / dark / system theme | 12 months |
Analytics & marketing
We currently do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add any in future we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
3. Managing your choices
You can change your choices at any time by clicking Cookie settingsin the footer. You can also delete cookies through your browser’s settings; doing so will sign you out and reset your preferences.
4. Third-party cookies
Stripe sets its own cookies on its hosted checkout page (e.g.__stripe_mid) for fraud prevention. These are not set by us; see stripe.com/cookies-policy.
