Service description

2chat is an online video- and text-chat platform allowing users to be matched with other users in real time, on their own (1-on-1) or with a friend (2-vs-2). The service is delivered through the website on which this notice is published. You must be 18 years or older to use 2chat; users who are at least 13 but under 18 may use it only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian. It is not for anyone under 13 (see Terms §3).

Supervisory authorities

  • Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD) — the Portuguese data protection authority, competent for matters under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority of your habitual residence.
  • Direção-Geral do Consumidor (DGC) and the consumer-protection authority of your habitual residence — competent for consumer matters.

Note: the European Commission’s ODR platform was discontinued in July 2025 and is no longer available.

VAT

Sales of digital goods to consumers in the European Union are subject to the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) regime under Council Directive (EU) 2017/2455; VAT is charged at the rate of the consumer’s country of residence. Your invoice will state the applicable rate.

The application is hosted by Vercel Inc. (United States) with a primary database operated by Supabase, Inc. in the European Union (Frankfurt region).
